At least in my opinion, having a proper setup for remote access to your server is a must for those times when you're away and attempting to use one of your services, and find out that something broke. With OpenSSH properly set up, you can securely access your server from anywhere you have internet access and a Linux terminal, which may even be your Android smartphone with the Termux app.
